LUCY'S FUTURE AWAITS

e-sanctuary

The Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee

Lucy would join the Asian herd of six elephants and enjoy 2,200 acres of habitat that includes multiple ponds, a 25 acre lake, watering stations, wooded areas and open fields. During the mild Tennessee winters, she would find indoor comfort in the 16,000-square foot Asian barn. This barn is equipped with passive solar lighting, radiant floor heat, infrared heaters designed to allow the elephants to control their own comfort, and an automated water system.

At PAWS, Lucy would become part of the Asian herd that currently resides there. She would be able to roam, walk freely for kilometres every day and forage naturally among the forests, bathe in the lakes or rest in state-of-the-art elephant barns equipped with heated elephant stalls.
